ADMINISTRATOR ORDER NO. 1-11.0

MANDATORY USE OF FLORIDA BAR NUMBER

WHEREAS civil and criminal filings are most efficiently processed by the Clerk of the Court with the assistance of certain automated case systems, and

WHEREAS the Tenth Judicial Circuit's integrated Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) will be fully implemented on or around August 1, 1988 and it is essential that this system capture certain data regarding attorney identification, and

WHEREAS it is necessary for the proper and effective administration o justice that the Court maintain an accurate record of counsel for certain auditing functions, including time standard compliance, it is hereby

ORDERED AND DIRECTED that all attorneys filing a pleading, motion, notice of appearance or any other paper with the Clerk of Court in a circuit or county court case shall include their Florida Bar Number with their name and address; attorneys shall not place their bar members on order to be signed by a judge.

FURTHER ORDERED AND DIRECTED that when the filing party is represented by counsel, the Clerk of the Court may decline to accept for filing any pleading, motion or any other paper (other than an order to be signed by a judge) which does not contain the filing attorney's official Florida Bar Number.

This order shall become effective on July 5, 1988.
